From Mexico. PiTKSsBi'sa. Jan. 14, 1818. Your Pony Express brings New-Orleans New-Orleans New-Orleans papers papers of the 8th, which anuounces the arrival of the frigate Saratoga at Pen sacola on the 6th inst. with advices from Vera Crux to the 27th. She brings fuller though no later advices from Mexico. The rumor that the present Congress had dis solved is con hrmed. The new Congress was to assemble in January. The rumor was current that the Commissioners Commissioners of the Mexican Government repaired to Queretaro, after having an interview with Mr Trist, and it is supposed they have had a con ference with the supreme government on the subject of peace. This was but rumor. Nothing Nothing definite is known of the decision come to in such conference, if held. Most of the American troops now in the Cap ital, are about to leave on expeditions to other places, to occupy the Capitals of the various States, &c It is definitively settled that the whole Republic of Mexico is to be occupied by the American forces, until those in power in Mexico, who have authority to act, make satisfactory satisfactory reparation to the American Government, and agree to the propositions of peace.
